PUSD made a commitment to reduce its carbon footprint by investing in renewable energy to power its school operations using semi-translucent AgroEnergy solar panels and wind turbines.
What makes this project unique is the incorporation of a bioswale to harvest solar energy without interfering with natural vegetation growth, and the integration of the District’s renewable energy program into the student’s educational curriculum.
With this new learning center now we have the opportunity to teach the younger generations about renewable energy.
