Paden Elementary

Paden Elementary had a vision of creating a more sustainable and resilient future for their students, and they knew that the key to achieving this vision was through education. They recognized the importance of environmental literacy, outdoor education, STEM curriculum, and campus ecology in preparing their students to be responsible stewards of the environment.

However, they faced a challenge in upgrading their aging infrastructure and reducing their carbon footprint. That’s where The Team at CSI came in. We partnered with Paden Elementary to help them develop economically compelling infrastructure solutions that aligned with their sustainability goals.
Our team of experts worked closely with Paden Elementary to assess their current infrastructure and identify areas for improvement. We recommended upgrades that would not only reduce their carbon footprint but also improve the overall learning environment for their students.

Our NET+ Outdoor Classroom was born from Paden Elementary’s custom solution. The solar roof was designed as a renewable energy source to provide a reliable and cost-effective way for the school to generate electricity while simultaneously creating a comfortable and interactive outdoor learning space. We wanted their space to have all the amenities of an indoor classroom and all the benefits of an outdoor classroom to maximize the times and activities the space could be used for.

But we didn’t stop there. We envisioned an outdoor education facility where students do not simply learn IN the space but they learn FROM the space. Towards this goal we also incorporated a school garden and used cutting edge AgroEnergy solar panels as an opportunity to learn about the emerging field of Agrivoltaics, where food and renewable energy are harvested together. This agrivoltaic school garden provides students with hands-on learning opportunities to explore concepts like plant growth, ecosystems, and sustainable agriculture. It also serves as a living laboratory that allows students to apply classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios.

Through our partnership with Paden Elementary, we were able to help them achieve their vision of creating a more sustainable and resilient future for their students. Our team provided them with the expertise and support they needed to upgrade their infrastructure, reduce their carbon footprint, and promote sustainable practices among students. The result was a healthier, more sustainable learning space that prepares their students to be responsible stewards of the environment.
